Dead Letter is a new restaurant concept from the girl & the fig, located on the Sonoma Square. We are currently hiring Hosts to join our opening team.
Dead Letter reflects our continued focus on thoughtful food, strong team culture, and a commitment to quality in every part of the guest experience. This is an opportunity to be part of a new kitchen from the beginning and contribute to building a supportive, well-run environment.
About the Role
We are seeking team members for front-of-house positions who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a collaborative service team. These roles are essential to daily operations and focus on providing a consistent, welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are dependable, team-oriented, and committed to thoughtful, attentive service.
Pay & Schedule
- $18.47/hour + tips
- Full-time and part-time positions available
You’ll support guest service and front-of-house operations throughout each shift, including:
- Greeting guests and managing the check-in process
- Seating guests efficiently and providing accurate wait time estimates
- Answering phones and assisting with guest inquiries
- Managing and confirming reservations
- Supporting the overall flow of the dining room
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entry, and lounge areas
- Assisting with retail or front-of-house presentation as needed
Required Experience & Skills
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a busy environment
- Professional, friendly, and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented during peak service
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (majority of shift)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
